Ice Fun

Today was just about picture perfect! We woke about 8-9, had some coffee and sweets from Panera Bread, and when the sun got a bit high in the sky and the temps warmed to above 20, we all headed out onto Clam Lake, which is right in from of Kim and Jer's place. There must have been 150 cars, and ATV's, and snowmobiles and kids and dogs and fish shacks and music and FUN! It was great to be outside, feel the sun on our faces, and breathe the freshest air! Fred and I had a blast on the ATV's, riding and also giving rides. Kim made her famous potato salad, baked beans, and ham and turkey and I made Key Lime Bars, and cole slaw and Stacy brought some wonderful cake from Cub's deli, Nic brought her corn salsa, and cream cheese dip, I also made stuffed jalapeno peppers, so we had a feast! Lainey was happy to be pulled around the lake in her little sled. She looked like a tiny pink eskimo! Jaden and I took a spin around the lake, and he showed me where he fell off the sled behind the snowmobile right after he took a jump! We're home and warm and happy and the dogs are sleeping on our bed, tired from all the fun. A nice ice day. Our heads will hit the pillows and we'll sleep the good sleep of fresh air and sunshine.
