The Accoustic Cafe

Saturday night found Fred and I looking for something kind of fun and different to do. We decided to check out an accoustic duo previously from the Minneapolis band - Tequila Mockingbird. These two were playing at The Accoustic Cafe on Barstow Street in downtown Eau Claire. We arrived about 6:30 PM, and ordered a couple of beers and some (very disappointing) nachos. Al and Larry started their set at 7 bells. It was a little rough going for the first couple of songs, but after that, we really enjoyed their playing and nice harmonies. Volume One (Eau Claire's answer to City Pages) advertised this act, and it turned out to be fun and different, exactly what we were looking for. Some local talent we always have fun listening to is Howard Luedtke. He will be playing at Poo's on the Pond later this month. Check it out. Also, Volume One has the next weeks music and other events posted. We will continue to do some things that help beat the winter blahhhhhhhs.
