We Are Family

Today, I braved the snowy roads and headed west to Hugo, where Ryan and Jessica live. What is typically an hour and a half drive took over two hours. At one point, I almost turned back, it was snowing so hard and the roads were less than ideal. All well worth the drive, for today our littlest guest was going to be there. None other than my darling Olivia Jean! We were five today-Ryan, Jessica, Nathan, Miss Olivia and me. It was grand! I was amazed by how Olivia tore around the house, and she even had a little temper fit when Jessica took my camera away from her. I had never seen that side of her! She kind of laid on the floor, kicked her feet and toys went flying. I, of course think it is great that she has some "vinegar"!!! I took lots of pictures and we had a wonderful family day. I love being her granny, and only wish I could spend, hmmmmm...at least one day a week with her. She is so sweet and I love her with all my heart. We tried on all the clothes I got her, and looked at toys and books and I even brought her a stuffed Golden Retriever, which I think she liked. After her dinner, and a quick bath, it was time for her to go, and Nicole came to gather her, and we were sad to see her leave. It was very, very good to have time with Ry, Jes and Na, as well. We laughed and simply enjoyed a snowy afternoon and early evening together. Pizza from Savoy topped off a perfect day and it was time for me to head east, back to Fred and Molly and Brody. I am safe and sound, and saying a big prayer of thanks for such a loving and wonderful and beautiful family. I am so blessed and appreciate every moment I have with them. I will post the pictures one day soon. I'm pooped!
