Doing some research on the production of veal did not allay any of my fears. How could anyone even think about eating calf flesh? They take the babies away from their mothers immediately; ship them to a facility where they are forced to drink milk by-products filled with antibiotics and iron deficient fluids; I have no idea how they are slaughtered, but I did read that often these babes try to suckle the fingers of their killers.
If you give a damn, please contact ONE restaurant in your city and ask them to TAKE VEAL OFF THE MENU.

Ugh. Veal production is heinous. If people knew how it was actually produced I don't think they would eat it, unless they were completely heartless. Baby calves and their mothers have a bond - I can't imagine the suffering that goes on when the babies are taken away. Unbelievably cruel, and completely against nature.
