Cruising Toonage

Hey...anybody out there in blogdom...I am trying to put together the perfect 10 CD's to have onboard the boat for weekend afternoon cruising. We have a great CD player and speakers on the boat, and it's always fun to have tunes going. I have a couple in mind that might be fun, but would like some input from ya'll!

Please no Bette Midler!

Hmmm.

Well if it were MY boat and I was the boss of the music, I would have the following on hand:

-Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66
-Herb Alpert & Tijuana Brass (especially "Whipped Cream & other delights")
-Baja Marimba Band
-Burt Bacharach (anyone performing Bacharach tunes would also suffice)
-Beach Boys (the '07 "Warmth of the Sun" compilation is nice)
-Reprise-era Sinatra
-Austin Powers soundtrack

Thanks for the suggestions! I gotta have Bette, just a couple of songs. And, Jeff, great ideas. I have Burt Bacharach already, and Sinatra-Reprise is already onboard, along with Beach Boys. Love the Sergio Mendes, and Herb Alpert. I was also thinking Chuck Mangione. I'll post some I have thought of, too. Da boss lady, OC.

I would suggest Cher, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, and a little Neil Diamond. It's always a great time out on the boat with fabulous friends, so the music selection is totally up to the Boss! I am just happy to be invited out on the lake!
Love ya,
