Review

Ok, four girlfriends and a movie, last night. Yep, you guessed it, I saw Sex and the City, the movie. We have a great theatre here in CF, with stadium seating, and wonderful sound. So, I got a box of Jr. Mints and the fun started.
Some critics gave this movie A-...some a D+. Most were in the middle with high C's or lower B's. I really didn't need to have a critic help me decide, I knew I was going, but it was interesting to hear what the buzz was regarding the film.
I thought it was funny, clever, very whimsical at times, and downright sexy! Not to be a spoiler, but it was a good time. I was not disappointed, and will probably end up buying the DVD when it comes out for sale. It's always fun to watch episodes of the HBO series, and cleverly, On Demand has had the last season running for a couple of weeks. That said, I watched most of them, so going to this movie sort of fell right into place. Everyone was there...Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Mr. Big, Stanford and Anthony, Steve, Smith and Harry. Jennifer Hudson was absolutely wonderful playing Carrie's personal assistant, and I was happy to sit through 281 minutes! It sorta seemed like watching about ten episodes of the series. I liked it, and would recommend it to anyone who likes the series, and there was actually a guy in the theatre! Fred told me it was the ultimate chick-flick, and comedians are really having a hayday saying real men would not be caught dead at this flick. So what! It was fun!

It was a wonderful time last night! We discovered some new "chick flicks" that we probably will make into another girls night out!
