Today was the official first full day of autumn, 2008. This morning as I was going to work via our short driveway, I looked to the left and just under our massive cottonwood tree stood two early spring fawns. Twins, no doubt. I wondered where mama was, as they seemed as curious about me and I was delighted by their presence. We exchanged glances, and off I went, only to see two white tails signaling each other that everything was alright. I'll watch for them again, and be sure to have my camera with me in the event these two rascals find the cottonwood a good place to meet in the mornings.
