Well, at least I have a little understanding about my "feeling" blue, which is not necessarily blue.
In a nutshell, my doctor prescribed a new medication for me to start on Saturday, the 30th of August. After 5-days of using this, I ended up in the Emergency Department of St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, then on to Marshfield Clinic in Eau Claire, and finally to the Cardiologist out of Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. All this a result of an allergic reaction to the new medication.
On Monday next, I will undergo a procedure called Cardiac Catherization. Sounds perfectly entertaining , doesn't it? Kind of like a roller coaster ride at ValleyFair. Exciting for many, unless you are like me and afraid that sort of thing.
It's invasive. I'm terrified. There's a 98% chance there is nothing wrong. However, given my Mom (74) died a year ago this past week from a heart attack an my Gramma died at the age of 71 from what they told us was some kind of influenza, but I suspect was heart related...I guess this final definitive test is necessary.
So, at this writing, I'm pissed off about several things: Monday night the Vikings play the Packers for the opening season deal and I am not going to be feeling like doing anything, if I am alive (tongue in cheek); and, I have this underlying feeling of even more lies, lies, lies by the current candidate VP darling-Sarah Palin; and, what is a fact of life for all public employees, ...that being, it is not prudent to expose too much of one's opinions and thoughts in a blog or any other public forum, lest we be fired by the "Mayor".
Silver linings to the clouds? Sure, there are many. I am thankful for medical care and insurance coverage. Lots of folks have neither.
On a humorous note, boy, am I glad I got to go to the State Fair and eat some really bad food.

Hope everything turns ok with your heart. Don't worry, they will keep you very comfortable during your test. Iknow it is hard not to think the worst, but it is better to have things checked out even if its for nothing. We all know you are one of the greatest people in the world with the best heart!)
love you,
Nynnie
