Wednesday, December 17th was my 55th birthday. I know...I barely look 54.
Thank you to everyone who sent me cards, called me, and wrote me little e-note greetings. Ihad a wonderful birthday, even though still kind of battling the cold.
Toni and Chelsey came over for snacks and Fred got me a delicious chocolate/chocolate two layer cake, which was originally decorated with" Happy Birthday Syn. He made them change it, and they were really pissed off about it. If he had bought the cake at WalMart, they would have written anything on the cake he asked.
Fred got me a large bottle Belvedere and a very, very cool gift I have wanted for a long time...a Yankee Flipper, which is so damned fun!
It's a bird feeder that has a little metal ring for the birds to perch on while eating. What's the flipper part, you ask? Well, this ring is battery operated to swing around when the squirrels hang on it and try to get after the seeds. It's very funny, and it's also very safe for them. They don't get hurt, and they don't get the food.
However, we still have two other feeders that the squirrels have managed to commandeer. They take turns flinging themselves on it, therefore spilling the feed on the ground, and then they have a little food buffet.
It was a wonderful birthday.
