Misty's Progress - January 27th

Misty, the golden in foster care from GRROW is healing nicely from her spaying. She's learned that going in her crate is NOT punishment, which is a huge step forward. (Dogs should think of their kennel/crate as their own private space and it should feel safe).

From her foster mom:
Misty is also very, very gentle when taking treats, it took awhile before she even took a treat from us. We had to slide it into her mouth slowly as she cowered. Now, she sits nicely with the other dogs and takes a treat so carefully, looking around like "Gee, is this really okay?"

Reading more about Misty, she takes snow baths, and stays right next to her foster mom when they walk to the mailbox. When foster mom calls her, Misty comes right away, sits and scoots next to her. A couple of weeks ago, she would drop and cower.

Soon, she will have a forever home.
