Saturday, Fred and I drove to Stillwater to attend the wedding of my nephew, Jacob Scott Jonnes. His beautiful bride, Hiedi Winter was just that, adorable and gorgeous.
Mother nature proved to be very sweet by providing the perfect weather. A tiny bit overcast, but a gentle breeze and temps in the 60's.
The wedding was at Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Stillwater, and a few of us went to the Harbor Bar right afterward for a couple of cocktails, then on to Oak Glen Country Club for the social hour, dinner and dance.
Jayson Kuckler and his family who live in Nevada were the only cousins not attending, so as usual, all the cousins hung out and had a blast. They are a very tightly knitted group, all 10 of them born within 10 years.
The food at the dinner was very, very nice and they served two wedding cakes...chocolate with buttercream filling and frosting and white cake with a raspberry filled buttercreamy middle. O-MYLANTA...very, very yummy!
We didn't stay for the dance part, but I have heard it was pretty fun, they had a live band, and Jessica has a couple of pictures on her Facebook that shows the groom rockin' out!
We went to condoworld and hot-tubbed it and went swimming in the pool. Very nice.
Everyone missed Gramma Marlene. It was a teary moment...my Mom would have been so proud, she and Jacob were very close.
My Dad, Grampa Jim looked GREAT and he loves his grandkids just as much as they adore him.
A splendid time was had by all! Congratulations, Hiedi and Jacob.
