Thank you family...

This one is for my family...thanks for putting up with me...literally! I did not spend Easter holiday with you because I decided to do a dog rescue transport from Black River Falls to Minnesota. So, thanks...I would have loved to do the Easter dinner and chocolate bunnies and all the other great things everyone served.
My transport started out by driving from home here in Chippewa Falls east to Black River Falls where I met Bonnie and Michelle at the Hardee's. My cargo this time was two sweetheart sisters, Molly and Polly - Weimeranger pups about 6 months old. Then there were two American Staffordshire Terrier's - pit bulls to those who prefer that name - Chief and Noelle.
Noelle was a little stand-offish at first, but soon came around and delivered lots and lots of kisses. Chief was an absolute lover right from the start. So off we went on I-94 toward Eau Claire again and then on to Minnesota where we were to meet Jan, who would take them on to Kathy in St. Cloud area.
I have learned a new appreciation and love for pit bull terrier's. First, I think their name should forever be Staffordshire Terrier's - which sounds more regal and I gotta tell you, these two were just as adorable as any dog I have met. Sure, they were not without their quirks, I had them with me for a mere 3+ hours, and these two were simply a treat. Chief rode co-pilot all the way, and was very needy...almost like he wanted to just be on my lap the entire way. Noelle settled in nicely in the crate, which I think calmed her some and the two little babes got into a little trouble in the back of the Jeep, and then were sound asleep for the rest of the ride - snoring even!
So, this precious cargo was delivered ahead of schedule and was a joy! As usual, I fell a little in love with them all, and hope they end up in loving and tender homes, as they deserve.
I am sad to say I don't have a picture of sweet Chief - he was on the go so much in between the journey legs, and if you have never done this - you will learn that taking pictures takes up precious time and also a little skill to get them to stand still long enough to click away.
