What a wonderful weekend! Sharon's 40th birthday party was waaaaaaaaay fun! She was surprised, and it was a good time with friends. John's jalapeno's were almost a religious experience.
Saturday was a good time at Sam's games. Sunday, I took the dogs to the park near Seymour Cray Boulevard, and they played and chased the racquet ball for nearly an hour and a half. I made some killer brownies, and we went to Poo's on The Pond to watch the Superbowl, I might add was a pretty good game, as Superbowls go.
So, looking ahead, Poo is sponsoring a CHILI COOK OFF. I kinda got the scoop on it today, and here's the deal. The Grand Poo-bah himself is one of the judges, and so is my hubbie, Fred! One other guy will join them, and apparently there is no designated criteria, just the "best overall" chili. So, the challenge is in place, and I have a couple of weeks to come up with an idea for a judge and crowd pleasing recipe.
By the way...I was NOT impressed by any of the Superbowl advertisements. I was, however, impressed by Tom Petty's halftime performance. A-
Molly and Brody watched the PuppyBowl on Animal Planet while we were away.
