Comments taken from the Chippewa Herald in response to the recent discussion concerning banning smoking cigarettes in Chippewa Falls restaurants and taverns.
DAN: " remember its always for your own good they do these thing,they often say think of the children argument or the health risks ect,propagandists have slick willy-ed many with this line of reasoning,or they say they lied they lied,or its all about big companys,the truth is,Its about freedom to choose what you will or wont do,persuit of happy-ness,the truth be told smoking has never been shown to be the cause of cancer,it is said it may-be a contributing factor,big diff between may-by a factor and it causes cancer there are alot of types of cancer and a lot of reason why,it may not to some be the best choice i ever made however it is my freedom that gives me the right to determine my destiny I make that choice,& part of this freedom includes when & where within reason,& reasonability is under attack the causal factors given are very much like the reasons give re;global warming,no real proof,its always a supposed contributing factors based on inconclusive evidence in conjuntion with all else being equal the evidence sugests the outcome mayby?we need proof not a bunch of perhaps or mabys it can if conditions are right,if all smoking were banned cancer "
