Mosquitoes

I must have great tasting blood. Mosquito season seems to be in full swing, and thus far today, I counted 17 bites on my legs, arms, face, forehead and ankles(their favorite spot on my body to attack). Ankle biters, yeah, that's it...ankle biters. I realize God made mosquitoes as food for bats, and some birds. But, in His wisdom, perhaps he could have made a few less of them on holiday weekends? And these literal suckers are huge. Like small sparrows with a wing span of about 5 inches, and a probiscus that has the diameter of a straw. Blood sucking varmints! Tonight, I expect there will be a few rogue flyers in the bedroom, just waiting to torment me and I suspect I will be hitting myself in the head a few times during the night as they swarm. Yup, it's mosquito season.
